Flu Shot

Justin got the second part of his flu shot today. He actually did very well, he cried for less than a minute, and then Maggie gave him his yogurt for lunch. I spoke to the doctor about his formula - he'd been on a specialty formula since he was born and last month his doctor decided it was time to switch him to regular formula. Unfortunately, now he's having difficulty pooping. Honestly, until your child is constipated, you have no idea how happy you can be to see a poop diaper. We were pretty lucky with Justin anyway - he's mostly a one-poop a day baby. So she told me to give him some more water and some prune juice, which should help him. And to start him on chicken and turkey. I hadn't given him an meats yet because of the above problem, but I'll start tomorrow. By Thanksgiving I should be able to give him some table food. This is all very exciting! :)

I know there is some concern about my posting pictures of my son on this blog. I know there are some sick people out there, but I would never do anything that I thought would endanger my child. I've put language in the blog template so that search engines don't look for it, and I haven't listed my last name or address anywhere on the blog. I have also removed all names of any nearby restaurants and bars that we have gone to. I'm really doing this to keep in touch with family and friends from around the country, and so that all of you can keep up with Justin. I really, really do appreciate the concern, and I take it very seriously.

I can't go to the gym today because my knee gave out before, so I guess I'll just have to stay home. I wish I could go, but it's probably best to let it heal up for a day before heading back. :(

I can hear Justin complaining - I don't think he wants to take his afternoon nap. Uh-oh. We didn't have such an easy night last night because of the teething, hopefully this is not an indication of what's in store for the rest of the night!
