Back at Home
This picture is from last month after Justin got his first haircut (he already needs another one!) but I love it so I wanted to post it here. Plus I haven't uploaded any new pics in a few days.We are back at home now. The trip up to MA and back was pretty uneventful - no crazy traffic jams on either Wednesday or Friday, which was great. We had a really nice Thanksgiving with Chris' parents and Aunt Anna & Uncle Guido and cousin Janice. Just as an aside, because Aunt Anna is from New England, the word "aunt" is pronounced "ont" and not "ant" like we say it down here in Jersey. All of the food was delicious and I had a very yummy birthday cake (chocolate cake with vanilla sugar frosting - mmm). And I got some very nice gifts as well so thank you to everyone!
Justin got to eat some turkey and some butternut squash soup for dinner on Thanksgiving, but he really didn't like it much, I think because of the different texture. We tried again last night, but he needed to have it dipped into his fruit medley dessert before he would eat it. So tonight he'll have some chicken and wild rice out of a jar - organic of course.
Today was Doug and Cindy's wedding, Congratulations to both of you! There was a fantastic martini bar made out of ice, and also a giant martini ice sculpture with a spigot at the bottom that you could serve yourself apple martinis from. I was very impressed.
My in-laws came back down with us from MA for the weekend so they babysat Justin today and will do so tonight as well, since my birthday week celebration continues as we head out for drinks with some friends tonight.
