Turkey Day is Almost Upon Us...

Justin is getting ready for Thanksgiving (notice his bib). I love this picture - he makes the best faces.

I spent most of the morning cooking up some corn bread casserole and some butternut squash and apple soup to bring to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. I also have a loaf of pumpkin bread in the freezer that I've been saving for this occasion as well. In addition, I'll be making green bean casserole on Turkey Day. I really do enjoy cooking, almost as much as eating.

I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving because this year it's also my birthday. For some reason, even though I don't like getting older, I love birthdays. I always like to drag mine out for as long as possible. For instance, my birthday began tonight, when my family and my brother's in-laws joined Chris and I for dinner to celebrate. We went to my favorite restaurant, and it was delicious as always. (Thanks Michele for babysitting!) Thursday we'll celebrate with my in-laws and their guests, and I believe at some point over the weekend I will ask my friends to join me out for some drinks as well. Maybe after the wedding on Saturday?

Tomorrow morning we'll be heading on up to MA after dropping Pudge off at the doggie hotel. She actually really loves it there, so don't feel bad. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the traffic isn't bad in the morning. It should be interesting with Justin since whenever we've driven 4 hours before we've always left at his bedtime (around 8pm). We'll see how he does when he's awake during the day! He's a pretty adaptable baby, so we're lucky. He doesn't seem to get thrown off too much by doing different things.

If I don't get a chance to post again, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving with family & friends and lots of good food!
