Stomach Flu
I never get sick. Hardly ever. In the three years at my last job, I never once called out because I was actually sick. The last time I was actually really sick, it was about 4 or 5 years ago, and coincidentally, it was the weekend of Chris's work holiday party. After 9/11, Chris and my dad worked in a back-up site in Long Island City - a much longer commute than they previously had. So they started carpooling with this guy "Bill" who lived in the next town over from us. Well, one day on the way home, the train was really crowded. But it was one of those where it was only crowded by the train doors, and no one would really move to the ends of the train car. Bill's kids both had the flu, and Chris said suddenly Bill looked a nice shade of green. Needless to say, people moved to the ends of the train car pretty quickly after that! And poor Bill had to walk from the train to his car with just his trading jacket on (no shirt or winter coat) in the middle of January.
I tell that story because that was the last time I got sick. Chris must have carried Bill's germs home and gave them to me. And now, 5 years later, I am sick again. Justin seemed to be doing better yesterday, he did not throw up anymore. He did have a slight fever later in the day, but the tylenol seems to have worked on that. This morning I will try giving him his regular breakfast and see how he does with that.
Last night wasn't too much fun. Justin was up a lot, I think because he was hungry. And I was up a lot, mainly because I was sick. I'm still glad Chris went to his friend's bachelor party up in Boston. I hope he had a good time. Because now he owes me big! :)
