We're Feeling Better Today

It seems as if Justin and I are both feeling better today. Hopefully it will continue to last. He seems very hungry and was screaming at me at the top of his lungs for breakfast. I was afraid to give him too much since he hasn't had a lot of actual food to eat over the past several days. But he threw such a fit when he was done with his cereal that I gave him some Cheerios, and that kept him happy for awhile.

Now we're watching Baby Einstein and Justin is playing with the soccer ball he got from Abby for his birthday (it came with a set - basketball, baseball, and football were included as well).

It will be bathtime in a little bit, and then later on today he has a his 1-year appointment at the pediatrician, although he won't be getting any shots today since he was sick over the weekend. I imagine we'll have to go back sometime next week for that.

Even though it's only a trip to the doctor's office, I am so ready to get out of this house!!!! I have been stuck in here for days.

Did I mention he got sick from the Gymboree INSTRUCTOR?! She called yesterday because they want to switch the time of his class (which doesn't work for me, btw). When I mentioned we were both sick and we must have gotten it from there, she said, "Oh yeah, that's going around, my boyfriend and mom both had it last week". So thanks for bringing their germs with you!

And oh - I really must be the only person on the face of this earth who actually gains weight with a stomach bug. I was thinking that would be the one good thing that came out of this, I could get a jump start on losing some of the holiday pounds. So yes, I puked my guts up and lived on a few slices of toast with jelly and chicken soup for three days, but still managed to pack on a couple pounds. GREAT!
