Beat the Odds

Tonight is the Superbowl. I think the Bears and Colts are playing. I don't really care about either team, but I guess it would be nice for Peyton Manning to win a superbowl. We're heading over to Maggie & Pop's to watch the game, and have some homemade chili and cornbread and other good eats. (Glad I just got back from the gym!)

I don't really care about football at all. I suppose we're a Patriots house, where the rest of my family are Jets fans. So Colts vs Bears - not too interesting to us. What we care about are the commercials, and the scoring. We are in 4 different box pools this year, with a total of 17 boxes. Chris even ran one himself, so as payment for running it he took 10 boxes for himself. And I paid for one. So we have 44 chances in that pool to win some money (it pays out at each quarter). One of the other pools pays out every score change, so that's the best one to be in. And then we have a small stake in one of the really big pools that is run down on the floor where Chris works. So that's where the suspense will be for me tonight. I don't really care if Peyton throws that winning touchdown, unless it's going to make us win in one of the pools!
