Check, Please!

A Reality Check, that is - which is what is in store for little mr. Justin-boo when miss Julia arrives. Today we went over to Maggie's (or Goggy, as Justin said today) because Cathy and cousin Evan were there. They went to Florida for a long weekend and got in late last night, so Cathy and Evan stayed over at my parents house while Jimmy went home. So this morning we went over to see them, and then ended up driving them home.

Justin is one jealous little baby! He did not want Maggie to play with Evan at all! He stomped around the house with big crocodile tears because he was so mad that Evan was getting attention from Maggie. He even went so far as to give Evan a little push while he was on Maggie's lap! It was actually quite comical (but I still felt bad that he was upset). Cathy and I have decided to get together at least twice a month so that the boys can get used to each other, because after all, they are going to grow up and be best friends anyway.

So I am curious to see how Justin reacts when his beloved Maggie and Pop have a new little granddaughter in their lives. I'm sure the first few times the two of them are visiting their grandparents together that it will be interesting!

In other Justin news, he loves to walk around "fake" laughing - he looks at us and goes "HA HA HA HA" constantly, it's hilarious! And he has not really said "Mommy" yet, but does say "Daddy" all the time. And in fact, he refers to both Chris and me as "Daddy". Whenever he sees Chris, he says it, and then sometimes if I come downstairs he'll run over and call me Daddy as well. Last week Ali asked Justin who I was and yep, he said Daddy. Hmm. Well, at least I'm not being altogether ignored, I guess that's a positive thing!

Today is Day 2 on South Beach. It's going well so far, although I have no snacks to eat in front of the tv. I guess that's a good thing. And I signed up at the new gym today, also. It's a much more difficult workout, I feel so out of shape when I am there! Hopefully it won't take too long for me to get used to it.

Chris just brought out our dinner, it doesn't look like a lot of food. He accidentally defrosted the chicken cutlets instead of the bigger chicken breasts. Oh well, I'm sure this is the portion size we should actually be eating anyway.

Ciao!
