15 Month Checkup

Justin had his 15 month check up on Tuesday. He is doing great! 90th percentile for weight (25lbs) and 95th percentile for height (31 inches). The doctor was very impressed with him, especially with how many words and phrases he says. Right now he basically tries to repeat most words you say to him. The latest are "broccoli" (gocky) and "yucky" (ucky). And he sings "E-I-E-I-O" when Old MacDonald is playing on his radio. Very cute!

He's signed up to start Gymboree again next week, and he'll visit cousin Evan again next week also. We're trying to have him around other kids as much as possible so that he gets more comfortable with them.

Chris and I went to the Yankees game last night - they won 9-2, woo-hoo! We have the same seats as last season, so most of the same people are sitting around us. The drunks that show up to every game in the middle of the 4th inning, and the *smartest Yankee fan to ever live (*note the sarcasm) who sits in the row behind us. I was very happy to see that the annoying guy and his annoying niece who have had the seats right behind me for the past two years were not there. The girl (who was at least 15, not a little kid) enjoyed hitting the back of my chair with her water bottle during every game, and the guy always had something to say about me bringing my own dinner (I was trying to watch what I ate!). So it was much more enjoyable without their presence. Hopefully they didn't just give their tickets to someone else for last night's game! I guess we'll see at the next one.

Chris and I are still doing well on our diet/exercise regimen. I go to the gym two days on, one day off, and he still goes to the trainer 3 times a week, and has picked up running on his days off, as he is preparing to run in a race at the end of the month. I also was able to run for 10 minutes on the treadmill at the gym the other day. To some of you, that's probably nothing, but considering I've never run that much in my life, plus that I had already worked out for an hour says a lot about how much I've improved over the last year.

It's still rainy and gray here, but this weekend is supposed to be really nice and it should be in the mid-70s and sunny by Monday. We're just waiting for this Noreaster weather to move on out of here!!!!
