Temper Tantrums
Are the terrible twos starting already??? Justin is only 15 months, but the temper tantrums have started. They only last about 30 seconds, but I'm not used to having to deal with this from my sweet little boy! It mostly occurs when I don't let him play in the refrigerator or tell him to stop throwing things onto glass tables and stuff like that. We got some video of him the other day at Tommy & Ali's house throwing a fit! Rolling around on the floor and flailing his arms and everything. The funny thing is when he does stuff like that - trying to hit me, or throwing something, he'll stop and look at me for my reaction first. So I try not to give him the reaction that he's looking for. If he throws something, he doesn't get it back. When I tell him "no hitting", this usually causes him to throw a bigger fit than he already is. Lucky thing is that he is very easily distracted, so tantrums can be stopped usually by giving him a ball or a magnet or something else. He can go from throwing a tantrum to laughing in about 10 seconds. So, it's not too bad. Always something new!
