Vermin

My basement is pretty much finished. I ordered my carpeting on Thursday, and we picked out a couch. Just have to get a shower door for the bathroom down there (the first one I picked out ended up being the most expensive one on the planet, so we didn't get it). But Joe and the guys came back yesterday to do a little work out in the backyard, since the back left corner of the deck and the pool are sinking into the ground. And they were building another railing and gate for the steps to the pool as a safety precaution for Justin.

Joe and his guys have been extremely busy with work, and so I knew they had been wanting to hire some new workers. Unfortunately, yesterday Joe brought a Rat with him to work on my house! (Those of you who went to high school with me should know who I'm talking about!) It was quite an aggravating morning. People can certainly change over time, but apparently Rats are as pesky and annoying as they ever were.

Any other time I would have just sent Pudge out to clear the yard of any vermin, but she was recovering from being under general anesthesia on Thursday to get her teeth cleaned. They are now sparkly white and she is doing great!

Justin is busy muching on Cheerios and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He loves his Mow Moo! Anytime he sees a tv, he points to it and asks for Mickey. Usually when I tell him that Mickey is sleeping this seems to at least satisfy him for a little bit. I know tv isn't supposed to be the best thing for little babies and kids, but really, what harm is Mickey Mouse? And it keeps him entertained enough for me post about it!

We were going to go upstate this weekend, but it is supposed to rain the whole weekend up there, so we decided not to make the trip. We were planning on going to a big hot air balloon festival today, but I don't know if the weather here is going to be nice enough either. We'll see!
