Smartypants

We've had a busy two weeks since being home from the lake, which Justin thoroughly enjoyed. He has increased his vocabulary by an astounding number of words - we can basically have a conversation with him. He can tell us things, and is quite a little jokester as well. It has really been amazing to just watch him learn new things every day, like his colors and the letters in his name (I don't even know where he learns half this stuff from!). He is so smart!

My dad's birthday was last Friday, so Happy Birthday Dad! We had the family over for dinner and cake, and it was a really nice night.

Grampy came down on Saturday and he and Chris went to the Patriots/Jets game on Sunday, which the Patriots won. And then promptly got caught cheating. Oh well. Justin was very excited to spend time with his grandfather and they had a great time going for walks, reading books, and playing with the new puzzle that Grampy gave him.

This week we went to gymboree and had our first playgroup yesterday, which was great. I'm looking forward to doing this once a week, I think it will be great for Justin.

He is napping now - over the past week he has been able to tell me when he is tired and wants to go in his crib. The first night I was a bit sad, since I enjoy holding him and sitting in the glider in his room with him at night while he drifts off to sleep, and after we said "nite-nite" to everyone, he said "Go crib" and indicated that he did indeed want me to put him down in his bed. The same goes for naps now, too! And he still sleeps 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours at nap time each day. I don't think I could have an easier child to take care of!
