Go Yellow Car!

This weekend we went up to Grammy and Grampy's in Massachusetts. We had a great time! We spent time playing with all the fun toys at Grammy & Grampy's house, we went to the zoo, we went to visit friends, and we visited Justin's 95 year old Great-Grandma!

The zoo was a lot of fun. When we first walked inside, we came upon a little train that went for rides around the zoo. Justin decided he wanted to ride in the red car, so in we went. The rest of the afternoon whenever he saw the train he wanted to ride in the yellow car. He learned the color yellow last week and he loves to say it now. I would have let him go for another ride before we left but the train wasn't at the station. The zoo was really cute, great for little kids. We saw elephants and buffalo, bobcats and coyotes, and a goat that was head-butting a sheep!

Later that afternoon we drove up to northern MA and visited our friends Pete & Elisa and their daughter Sydney, and our friends Dave & Laura and their kids Gabe and little Sydney met us there. It was great to see everyone since we hadn't seen them since February, and we had never met Dave's children (well, we saw Gabe once when he was a month old, but he's 4 now). Justin was great at the house all day, he played with all Sydney's toys and I'm sure that he spread his runny nose germs everywhere (we checked with our friends before bringing him with us!) The only time he freaked out was when Sydney was using him as leverage to stand up (she's 11 months) and then fell on top of him - that was a little too close for comfort for Justin, who likes his personal space! But it was a really nice afternoon, and we all had dinner together.

Monday was rainy so we didn't get to go to the pumpkin patch as planned, but we did visit with Justin's Great-Grandma at her new digs. Noni is 95 years old! She enjoyed watching him run around her room. When we left the building Justin said "Good to see you!"

We drove home last night, listening to the Yankees game and hoping for a miracle...which we didn't get. Hopefully the Indians will play just as well against the Red Sox and knock them out of it...I understand rooting for your team, but Boston fans are a little out of control - we were at the park on Saturday and there was an entire family dressed head to toe in Red Sox clothing. The little girl had a red sox dress on, with matching shoes! And the two month old was in a red sox outfit and had a matching red sox blanket... I mean really, get a hobby or something.

I always remember doing that little train at Turtle Back Zoo. Have you guys ever taken Justin there? I wonder if they still have those elephant keys that turn on the little info boxes.

I can't wait for the Colts to beat the Pats. That's going to be fun. Everyone loves football right?
