Snow Day!

Lots going on in the past 3 weeks since my last post! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had 14 people and 3 little ones at the house for turkey day, and it was really a nice day. Thanks to Mom and Ali for helping cook, and to Jen for all the cleaning up she did! The food was delicious, and my turkey came out awesome, if I do say so myself. I was worried for a little bit that I messed up the gravy, but it ended up being delicious.

The next night was my birthday - 33 - how did I get this old??? Wow. Can't believe it. We went down to Atlantic City with a couple of friends and ended up doing pretty well! We were up till 3am gambling, and we went to bed up $300. The next morning Sue and I did some shopping and the guys gambled a bit more and we played some slots - we gave back the $300 we had won the night before. But on our way out, Chris put the last $20 in chips that he had on #11 on the roulette table, and it hit! So we left with $700 in our pockets! Paid for dinner, the hotel, and the shopping I had done that morning. It was a fun night, and it's always more fun when you win!
This weekend we had dinner at Jodi's on Friday and got to see Anna & Jason and meet their son Emerson - what a cutie! And Justin had a blast at Jodi's house, lots of new things for him to look at and explore. Last night we went up to Liza & Dino's in CT for a Christmas party, which was great, and I got to see my friend Lisa and her daughter Zaynah, who is adorable! We left Justin with Maggie and Pop and he spent the night there. Chris went to get him this morning and dressed him up in his snow gear, because we got an inch or two of snow overnight. He had a blast in the snow! We got some great pictures, as you can see from the one posted up top. He loved it, and did not want to come in for lunch.

We're going to finish up with gymboree after this month is over, and in January we're going to start soccer! A bunch of kids from gymboree and playgroup also signed up, so I'm looking forward to doing something new with him. He basically has a complete vocabulary now, and his new favorite phrase is "Get over here!" It's so cute to listen to him say it.

Oh yeah - I brought him for his first "professional" haircut! It looks adorable (although it's still a bit uneven). I put "professional" in quotes because I will never him bring him back to Kids Cuts at the mall - the lady ended up cutting his neck quite a few times and then blaming it on him! Terrible. So I doubt we'll ever be able to get scissor near his hair again, but at least for now it looks nice.

Has anyone started their holiday shopping yet? I started, but have a long way to go! At least the AMEX lounge is open again at the mall this holiday season. Love that place!
